David LaChapelle. Need I say more? Ever since a photography lecture last year, when we watched a hour long documentary on him, I have admired his work and his amazing website! I love the vibrancy and playfulness of his photography. The mix of advertisement, fine art photography and fashion create a unique style which no-one else can pull of as well as him. If only I was a celebrity and had the pleasure of being photographed by such a photographic genius!

I remember this lecture well, its stuck with me as well. Somehow he makes every colour more vivid than anyone else can, its like life in HD. Very good art direction; each model strikes a memorable and dynamic pose which really adds some character to each photograph.
